Get a dark or half-working lighting system working again, and cheaper to run.

Landscape and outdoor lighting rarely fails all at once. One fixture goes dark, then a whole run, then the timer stops making sense. Madison winters are hard on outdoor wiring: frost shifts fixtures, plows and shovels clip them, and connections corrode in wet soil. We trace the problem, fix what’s worth fixing, and tell you plainly when a run is worth replacing instead.

We find the cause, not just the dead bulb. A dark run is often a cut wire or a failed connection, not the fixture.
Old bulbs swapped for LED. LED uses less power and lasts longer than older halogen bulbs, so you replace them less often.
Fixtures reset after winter. Lights knocked over, buried or pushed up by frost get reset and re-aimed.
Licensed and insured. Ask us for proof. Ask everyone you’re considering.
We work on systems other companies installed too, so you don’t need the original installer to get the lights back on.
Related Services

Low light along walkways, steps, and the edge of the driveway, placed so you see the ground, not the bulb.

Light built into seat walls, steps, and patio edges, so the space still works after sunset.

Trees, stone walls, and the front of the house lit from below, so the yard has shape at night.

Soft light along beams, posts and deck stairs, wired into the structure.

Christmas lights put up, tested and taken down after the season.

When half the yard goes dark, it’s easy to assume the whole system is finished. Usually it isn’t: most dead lighting comes down to one bad connection or one damaged run of wire.
Most dead systems come down to one of these:
A wire cut by digging, edging or aeration
Corroded connections sitting in wet soil
A failed transformer or timer, so nothing comes on
Fixtures knocked over or buried by snow equipment
How we build: Repair starts by testing the system run by run to find where the power stops. Fixing that point, and upgrading tired bulbs to LED while we’re there, often brings an old system back for far less than replacing it.
Describe what’s dark, when it stopped and roughly how old the system is. We’ll set up a visit to trace it and give you a quote with a real number for the fix.
